A little about Heartfelt Creations:

Heartfelt Creations provides a unique line of artistic stamps, detailed dies and designer papers. Many of our stamps coordinate with our exclusive Spellbinders™ dies. The innovation of our stamps paired with matching dies offers a whole new dimension of possibilities and quickly adds eye-popping 3D depth to any project. Our designer papers are designed to coordinate with our product collections adding the perfect complement to any Heartfelt Creations stamp or die.

The design team has a couple of cards for you today as your final inspiration.

I used stamps from Stampscapes and Beeswax and stamped on Cyrogen cardstock . I colored the foreground image with Copics and the background mountain and tress with PanPastels.  You can see all the details and more pictures at Crafting Passions.

Nadia from Scrap Affair used a mixture of all kinds of stamps including the house from Hobby Art, bunny from Stampin Up and tree from Stampscapes. The images are colored with Distress Inks and Copics.  There is antique gold glitter on the edge of the picture and the berries were made of acrylic granules melted in the oven.

So let's see your wonderful creation added to the challenge!  You may enter up to 3 times and as many challenges as you wish.  Click here to enter the challenge.  If you do not have a blog or account on Split Coast Stampers, then just email me a picture of the piece and I will add it to one of our posts.   If you are interested in a GDT spot just add GDT to your name as you link your project.

I will be back on Saturday with the winners for the month of July!

Inside the Garden With Guest Bettina

Sunday marks another week in the Craft a Scene "Inside the Garden" challenge.  The number of entries is growing and they are all varied and wonderful.  This week I have another guest designer, Bettina with her lovely creation.

My name is Bettina Leikvoll, and I live in Stavanger in Norway with my hubby and two kids aged 2,5 and 4 years old. I work in an office and hubby is a civil engineer.

I like creating scenes with the images because that makes the card pop and gives it loads of texture. I always try to use what is in the image to make colour and scene decisions. I particularly love making clouds behind outdoor images and grass or oceans to add to the image.

I've made a card for this challenge using an image from the Digi Doodle Shop which is called Daisy Girl. I've also used some memory box dies to make clouds with currogated paper. Hope you'll like it.

Please stop by my blog: http://bettandshobbykrok.blogspot.com/ and take a closer look for details.

Hugs Bettina xx

Don't forget our sponsor is Heartfelt Creations.  Be sure to stop by their blog and let them know how much you appreciate their stamps.

In the Garden - Week 2

Happy Sunday everyone!

The weather has finally turned here and the sun is shining, tempting me out to the garden.  There are weeds galore and my chives are going crazy!  I need to do some serious maintenance.

I have for you today our very first Guest Designer, Dora from Holland! Dora made two cards to wow us.  Her work is wonderful and she draws a lot of it herself.

My name is Dora Buist and I live in Holland(Netherlands).  I am married and have three childeren, they are 15, 12 and 10 years old.  We have a farm and I also work as a nurse at homecare.

I like creating scenes because they look a little like paintings.  You can see a story in a scene sometimes.  I find it so creative to use different stamps combining them to make a very nice picture.

I don't have so many scenic stamps so I sometimes draw my own image or background.

I made two cards, one with de dragonfly, is drawn by myself.  The second card with pheasant and wheel that is a stamp from Northwood stamps and the rest is drawn by myself.

Do check out Dora's wonderful blog this week and leave her a little love.

And now onto the "in the garden" creations from the design team....

July Challenge - In The Garden

This month our challenge is to create a scene from "inside the garden".

When I was a child, my mother said that I would grab the salt shaker and go sit in the vegetable garden and eat tomatoes right off the vine.  So when I think of "inside the garden" I think of what a child sees down low - the plants, the fence, dirt, grass, spiders, a rabbit, and all my mums flowers.

I hope my little story gives you some ideas of what our theme, "inside the garden" might mean to you.  This is what our design team came up with for inspiration.

Anna-Karin - Layers of Ink

"Here's my first card for the garden theme. It was harder than I thought, I haven't ever done garden scenes before I think. For this one, I created my favorite type of garden, a pretty wild garden, where everything grows where it wants to. I added lots of flowers to the grass, which might have been seen as weed, but I like these types of flowers".

Anja - Stamping Anja

Anja created this lovely card with lots of flower pots and flowers for us to enjoy.

Nadia - Scrap Affair

Nadia's garden is just outside her home behind the picket fence. I couldn't help but notice all the FlowerSoft in the wheel barrow!

Brenda - Floral Fantasies

Brenda used stamps from our sponsor - Heartfelt Creations and made this amazing window easel card.

Nancy - Crafting Passions

When I look at my patio garden I see pots of flowers and greenery.  Soon they will be overflowing with mature flowers.

Okay folks, now it is your turn to create a scene from "inside the garden".  We are looking for stamped or digi scenes that are finished projects (no ATC's or unmounted work).  Cute cards with a few added flowers will not be accepted - we need to see your scenic talents!

Please keep in mind that our sponsor this month is Heartfelt Creations and send them some love on our behalf.

Have fun creating!
